South Detective Division is looking to identify and locate the suspect wanted for a theft in Wharton.
On July 9, 2014, at 12:30 am, the complainant parked his 2000 Jeep Wrangler on the 2000 block of South Juniper Street. At 3:00 am, an unknown male was captured on surveillance video unzipping the removable top entering the vehicle and searches for items of value. After approximately fifteen minutes inside the suspect takes the vehicle radio, an iPod and other items then fled the area and was last seen walking east on the 1300 block of Snyder Avenue.
Suspect Description: Male, unknown race, wearing a baseball cap, t-shirt, shorts, and wearing a backpack.
