  1. David Murray: I'm new to it, and don't have a clue. Although, I've used Photoshop in the past. I just wanna design a band logo, but find it hard. There's no tutorials. Can you help? Dave, Scotland, UK
  2. Ov Cal: are there things you just can't do in Gimp, only in Photoshop?
  3. Davies Media Design: +CheDeLila thanks for the feedback! I'll work in a little web design in the next tutorial. Thanks for watching!
  4. Ludwig Spiegel: Thanks for sharing
  5. George Stone: The sound is way off. Cuts in and out.
  6. Davies Media Design: +David Murray Check out my other videos - I have quite a few on my channel, including videos specifically on how to design a logo.
  7. Milimate: Very interesting video. Never really got into GIMP that much, but it seems like it's a very good and FREE equivalent for Photoshop. Very good presenting skills as well, which made this video easy and fun to watch.
  8. Davies Media Design: +Ludwig Spiegel Thanks for watching!
  9. joesinister: Yeah, i got it fixed. It was an oversight on my part. Didn't realize i simply had to click on the layers dialogue, as the pics would automatically open on the "undo history" dialogue. A silly thing for me to overlook but i am glad my work was still there and i didn't end up having to do everything over again.
  10. joesinister: I need help on something GIMP 2.8 related. Today i was working on a project using a PSD file that i downloaded and opened in GIMP. It worked just fine at first, but i made a stupid mistake ( that i made once before a few months back but didn't seem to result in the clusterfuck that happened this time) where i was trying to get some stupid op up Window (this "notepad thing that Windows 7 has on my screen) that popped up just as i was about to save something. In trying to X it out i mistakenly hit the "Undo History" option. Like i said i had made that mistake once before but i was able to recover my work and it only effected the picture i was working on. This time it not only dropped all of the layers i was working with on the PSD file, it did so to all of my other unfinished stuff that i had on XCF files. I had even attempted to re download the PSD, only for it to seem to automatically merge the layers and give me a "base image". It does this to other PSDs i open with it now too. I even uninstalled and then re downloaded GIMP , and got the exact same results when i try to open a psd. I am not sure why this is happening, maybe i am overlooking something? I am not sure what to do now.
  11. joesinister: yup!
  12. yan starr: thank you very much
  13. Overwatch Highlights: +Davies Media Design thanks to you too for the content that u provide
  14. Davies Media Design: +joesinister Hmm this is very bizarre indeed. To be honest, I am not sure how to solve this issue - so I would take your question to the GIMP Forums and see if one of the people on there can help you. There are a lot of Tech Savvy GIMP admins on there that have seen it all. http://gimpforums.com/
  15. Davies Media Design: +joesinister that's a relief! Glad it wasn't something major.
  16. Overwatch Highlights: Nice videos +Davies Media Design could u do tutorials or a tutorial covering the web design involved on it? creating the layout, some social media design aspects could be included here too, etc.? I've seen the LOGO creation that could be take it into account for the web part but there are some other aspects not included on ur videos and it could be a good chance if u would take the challenge. Cheers.
